Kibale Forest National Park Tour Uganda

To the north east of the Queen Elizabeth national Park, this park includes the Mpanga forest. From this forest, 11 species of primates can be viewed. They include families of chimpanzees, Colobus monkey and others.

Accommodation is in Ndali Lodge, which lies on a dead volcano and offers you fantastic African and European cuisine. A European family runs it.

It is a 6-hour drive from Kampala. Tracking of chimpanzees is the major activity and it is advised in the mornings. This area used to be home to migratory elephants but they are now seen less. To be viewed too are bush pigs, Civet cat and warthogs.

Chimp Safari – Kibale Forest National Park

Day 1
Depart Kampala and head for Kibale Forest National Park. Lunch will be had along the way. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.

Day 2
After breakfast, with your guide, proceed to Kibale Forest Reserve to track chimpanzees. Have a packed lunch. Return to Kampala; arriving late evening, dinner and overnight Hotel Equatoria.

Day 3
Get up early and head for Entebbe, Ngamba Island for another thrill in the chimp orphanage. A boat ride will get you to the Island, expect to come very close to the chimps and see them being fed. Have a packed lunch or lunch can be had there. In the evening, proceed to the Airport for the home bound flight.

Another option for the chimp safari is arranged to cover Budongo Forest, the Chambura Gorge and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Gorilla Safari Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

A visit to see the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is simply fascinating! One look into the humble eyes of these apes will be a memory that will last a life time. Did you know that world over, there are only 706 mountain gorillas and these are only found in Rwanda, Congo and Uganda? Uganda hosts more than half of the world’s total population of Mountain gorillas! This is a park that is worth a visit! Enjoy a visit with these amazing apes in their natural habitat. Don’t just be told about it, experience it!

Day 1.
Pick up from Kampala or Entebbe international airport by our representative and head for the south western part of Uganda. We shall stop en route at the local drum shops at Mpambire; see the local fruit market, cross the equator line at Nabusanke.  Proceeding en route, expect to see the long curving horned cattle of Ankole.
Arriving in time for Lunch in Kabale town, we shall thereafter proceed to the park headquarters in Buhoma.
Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort (High end), Buhoma Homestead (medium end) or Buhoma Community camp (budget)

Day 2
Wake up by 6.30am and have breakfast at 7am.We shall have to go with our packed lunch. We may spend a full day with the gorillas. At 7.30am we shall assemble at the park headquarters for a morning brief about the gorilla tracking rules, from the park staff. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions. You may see the gorilla’s within1-6hours depending on their movement in the forest. You will spend one hour with the gorillas observing them closely while they eat, play and rest. The park staff will also assist you get porters for carrying our packed lunch.
Return in the evening for dinner and over night.

Day 3
After early breakfast we shall go for a 2 hour village walk before returning to Kampala or Entebbe airport. We shall have a lunch stop on the way in Kabale town or Mbarara town en route.
