Lion Safari - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 1
Leave Kampala after your breakfast and head west. You will stop over at the equator for photographs. Lunch at Lake View Hotel, Mbarara. Another short descent of the escarpment will get you into Queen Elizabeth National Park. A short drive along the channel will let you to Mweya Safari Lodge. Do not miss the scenery - Mwea overlooks the Kazinga Channel, the Lake Edward and a distant stunning view of the ’snow capped mountains of the Moon’ [Rwenzoris].
After a rest, have an early evening game drive expect lions, elephants, kobs, warthogs and a variety of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mwea Safari Lodge.

Day 2
An early morning 2-hour launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel will offer splendid game viewing and photographic possibilities as you travel up to the channel and into Lake Edward. Return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, go sightseeing in the crater region - it is a marvel! Visit the Katwe Salt works for a glimpse into traditional salt mining. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
After a very early breakfast, check out of the Lodge and head for the Chambura gorge for another game drive expect lions, a forest walk, chimpanzee tracking and a variety of primates. You will have a picnic lunch. Depart for Kampala and arrive late evening.
