- Book your gorilla trekking permit at least 3 months in advance
- If you are going to trek gorillas in Bwindi, do not book accommodation before confirming your gorilla trekking sector
- Travel during the low season for the best discounts on accommodation
- Carry some snacks to eat during your trek
- Carry water or some energy drinks
- Travel light, one backpack is enough
- Carry a waterproof bag for your gadgets
- Plan your tip keeping in mind that it will be shared by more than 5 people (rangers)
- Waterproof spray your shoes, you might have to pass through swampy areas depending on the sector
- Respect the gorillas’ space, they are wild animals.
