Day 1: pick up and transfer to mgahinga national park
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!After early morning breakfast, transfer to mgahinga national park in southern Uganda, en route at the equator for photography and scientific experiences continue with the journey up to Mbarara, stopover for lunch and proceed via masaka, Mbarara, kabala, kisoro to mgahinga national park(9-10hrs drive). Dinner and overnight at mount gahinga lodge.
Day 2: golden monkey trekking and batwa trail
In the morning after breakfast, with your packed lunch and enough drinking water move to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guides, after embark on the memorable experience of golden monkey trekking for 1-6 hrs depending on how far they are. You have 1 hour for photography and observation on encounter with the golden monkeys. Return to you lodge for lunch and relaxation, in the evening you can go on a guided community walk for a visit to the batwa village where you will enjoy their cultural dances and bush life styles. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to volcanoes national park
After breakfast, transfer to volcanoes national park via kisoro cyanika border (1-2 hrs drive) reaching on time for lunch, after lunch go for guided walk to the ibyiwacu cultural village and enjoy the cultural dances and the beautiful historical background of banyarwanda tribe. Dinner and overnight at mountain gorilla view lodge.
Day 4: golden monkey trekking and city tour
In the morning after breakfast move to the park headquarters for pre trekking briefing by the park rangers and paper work, then go for search in the forest for the beautiful habituated golden monkeys for 1-5 hrs depending on where they are, you will watch so many other animals in the forest and bird species. You have 1 hour to take pictures and interact with the golden monkeys before you leave them, return to your lodge for lunch and transfer back to Kigali. Tour around the city and see a few tourist attractions in Kigali like Genocide memorial, local markets, Kigali convention Centre before your taken to the airport for your flight back to your next destination.
