Day 1: Kigali Airport – Volcanoes National park
On arrival at Kigali airport, you will be welcomed by our driver guide- Kigali city tour and then transfer to Volcanoes National park. Move through the rolling hills of the Rwanda to the home of ten habituated Gorilla families. Arrival for dinner and overnight at Virunga Lodge, Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge Or Muhabura Hotel.
Day 2: First Gorilla trekking
After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters (with packed lunch and water). Have 30 minutes briefing about gorilla tracking. Thereafter, join other trackers and head up the slopes of the forest to visit one of the habituated groups of gorillas. The trek is quite strenuous, so you should be able to hike for 2-5hours on steep mountain trails before meeting gorillas camouflaged in thick vegetation. Day 3: Second Gorilla trekking – Meet a different Gorilla family
On this day, you will encounter a different Gorilla group
Day 4: Return to Kigali Airport – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Kigali Airport for your departure flight back home.
