Bwindi impenetrable National Park protects around 340 mountain gorillas, roughly half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world. It is a humbling once-in-a-lifetime experience to be able to observe these shy and peaceful animals in their natural environment. Gorilla Safari Lodge consists of eighteen spacious cottages, each providing the perfect setting to relax after an exciting day of trekking. The well-appointed cottages all have solar-powered lighting, en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water and flush toilets and individual verandahs offering excellent views of the unspoiled rain forest – Bwindi impenetrable forest. Five of the cottages have two rooms (both en-suite and featuring a cosy fireplace) with an inter-joining door making them the ideal choice for families or larger groups of people traveling together.
